With TSW4 now out on 'early access,' we now have the first Austrian route available to drive on. But is it overhyped? (TL:DR Yes)

First stop: price.
Vorarlberg is not yet available as a standalone product. If purchased in a bundle with the pre-order discount or loyalty discount it is quite reasonably priced. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a slight bit of gouging in the standalone packs. 8/10.
Gameplay.
Eh. It's ok. The stops are well-spaced to make for an interesting run, but the experience is dragged down significantly by the atrocious sounds. I suspect as soon as layers are available and soundpacks for the 4024 I will enjoy this route far more. 6/10
Detail.
I am in two minds in this section. Some sections are great- the immediate lineside infrastructure and buildings are pretty good, and the section of single track along the lake is very charming. The grass however is far too fluro, and as I commented on stream it looks like it was drawn in highlighter. Distant scenery too is questionable. The heightmapping is fantastic and suits the mountainous region well- but the tree rendering is truly awful and ruins the rest of the scenery. 6/10
